someone help me, pleeease...

ah, solitude finally arrived. husband left for england this morning, the kids are with mum-in-law, and i'm spending a quiet day at home, all alone. and i love it. not that i don't enjoy being with my family, but i am one who absolutely believes in and needs her solitude. at least once a week. my first sign of deprivation of this is grumpiness.

so i'm sitting here doing this, with the jazz channel on, playing the song "better than" being sung by natalie cole, and i'm reminded of this song being sung by Yvette Johannsen while i was at the Bennett's Lane Jazz Club in melbourne. and now the tune's changed to a jazzy reggae number. hmm, it's a good day.

i was asked by a 13 year old girl the other day, if i was who she thought i was from church. she was very surprised that i actually blog, because just last year, i didn't know what an ipod was! yes, i'm a self-professed digital idiot. but i can learn, if i want to. and i have so far, with this blogging thing. but i'm quite stuck when it comes to this - CAN SOMEONE COME TO MY HOUSE AND TEACH ME HOW TO ATTACH OR LINK THOSE THINGYS LIKE CHATTERBOX AND SITE CLOCK AND SITE METERS TO MY BLOG. I'M SO FRUSTRATED TRYING! yes, i know you need to subscribe and then they give you your html code and you "just cut and paste" it to your layout page thingy blah blah blah. which i have tried and somehow failed for so many times. so! can someone come and do it for me or at least show me how to do it successfully before i get bored of my own blog. i'll feed you homebaked cake and let you watch varekai....anyone?

meanwhile, i'm going to take a nap.
